Beth: Breath of the Wild #14

I've been planning to go back to the Yiga Hideout for a while, so after Jeff gave me a few tips I headed back!

I managed to sneak through the main part of the Yiga hideout by dropping mighty bananas. It's very helpful that Yiga are so drawn to them!

I ended up in a seemingly inescapable room, ready for Yiga's to jump out of nowhere and attack me :P I ended up giving the room a bit of a search and uncovered an exit with magnesis after getting a few chests.

Outside the hideout, a cut scene showed me this guy. As it turns out, this was some kind of Yiga boss, and I had to get past him.

Master Kohga tried to throw bomb type things at me, but I managed to use magnesis and throw them right back at him.

I received a Thunder Helm for defeating him, and the new task of traveling back to the Gerudo chief.

Back in Gerudo Town, the chief appreciated my gift and triggered a memory when she put it on!

The chief took me towards the last Divine Beast on her sand seal. She gave me bomb arrows to help knock the beast down!

I used the arrows to shoot the feet of the beast before it let me on.

I managed to get to the map terminal and start exploring a little, but I haven't got to any others yet. I have noticed this beast is a little more complicated though, with more than one part that rotates.

Thanks for reading, see you next time!

Beth: ACNL: 1 Year of Acorn

I'm such a bad Mayor, but with my new job and being away I unfortunately haven't had much time to catch up in Acorn!

I even missed my one-year celebrations, but luckily it rolls over to when you do play.

Isabelle, Bunnie, Julian and Timmy/Tommy (random?) celebrated with me!

I received this sapling clock as a present, which I've put in the corner of my little library :)

Walker asked me to deliver a parcel to Julian, which had the shirt he's wearing above in! I honestly wasn't a fan :P

I decided to do away with the path in the south of town, it just looked messy and I didn't really need it.

I saw a new house plot, which is for Sylvia.

I sorted out some white pansies and accidentally ended up with one in my hair, which I've kept :P It kind of matches my dress for summer!

I found a lost item by the plaza, which I don't usually pick up but I decided to be helpful for once :P

I noticed a sign on the notice board which told me I've missed yet another Bug Off. At this point, it's no surprise!

Julian asked me to deliver something to Chevre that he'd picked up at her house. I wonder why he picked up clothing? ;)

I was wandering around looking for Sheldon when he pinged me! I was wondering what he wanted, but it was only to give me a new nickname. It's not my favourite, but I accepted :P

I then talked to Sheldon to give back the time capsule he'd requested. I found his dialogue a little strange, 'I feel like I've touched the future'?

Squishy: Main Street is complete

Yesterday was the grand opening of the Fortune Teller's shop so we held a ceremony outside the train station.

Katrina: The light... it burrrns!

I really did spend over 300,000 bells just to remove a bin since the furniture inside is the same as the conTENTS before.

Katrina thanked me and I got my fortune done hoping for one of the two items that she sells but no luck.

At least now I can finally say that I'm finished Main Street. I can start using my bells on house upgrades and PWPs.

Sorry that this is a short entry. Nothing much happened in town today but thank you for reading and hopefully there's more on Saturday.

Squishy: Public (Over)works Projects

My Lighthouse is finally finished!

I had the ceremony for it right away. There's a night time photo on down the blog post

I started donations for the Fortune Teller's right away and paid it off... right away.

Yay! I'm broke again!

I can't believe that it costs over 300,000 bells just to move a bin.

Here are the night photos that I promised. So pretty!

Thanks for reading and have a good week.

Beth: Breath of the Wild #13

Hi everyone! Thank you for bearing with me while I've been away the past week, I'm back now.

I didn't actually get to play much while I was away, but I did play a little BOTW.

I decided to leave the Yiga hideout (for now), and venture to the top North West of the map, where I found a Korok seed.

I also came across a little hut and a shrine, which I went to explore.

The shrine offered a simple puzzle using magnetism.

Along the way, I found a chest and a new weapon!

After completing the shrine and earning a spirit orb, I made my way to the little hut.

This took me to Selmie, who told me about shield surfing. I've been doing it for a while now, and she asked me to race down the mountain.

I quickly completed the easy course, so she asked me to do the advanced one.

This took me beyond the beginners course and through some flags, which I also quickly completed.

I completed the advance course in 1 minute 47 seconds, which is apparently good :P

Selmie gave me a Knight's Shield as a prize! My plan from now is to head back to the Yiga hideout and have another go at getting through that part to the last Divine Beast.

Thanks for reading!

Squishy: The origins of Squishy the Orange Smuggler

I played today and realised that I missed the Bug Off. I'm not a huge fan of the Bug Off but I wanted to participate at least once this year. Theres always August.

At least I didn't miss the award ceremony. Congrats to Flurry, Filbert and Daisy!

When I spoke to Daisy, she was surprised that I didn't get a trophy. How? I wasn't even there.

She told me about a stump maker called Crepe (insert squiggle over the E here, I can't remember the proper name for it)

I decided to finally do something that I've been putting off for the last few months, sell my perfect fruit in another town. I started by gathering the ones in my orchard and putting them with the others I had in storage.

Then I went to Jeff's town to smuggle them. He was the one who nicknamed me the orange smuggler and it kind of stuck. Here is his blog post about it for reference.

Its been a while since I've been in Forest since there's a five hour time difference (plus I haven't been leaving Cosmic lately).

I ended up with roughly 550,000 bells from that. I also quickly left Jeff some oranges and a message :P

When I was done I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking and Jeff showed up out of nowhere. He actually scared me a little.

Then he brought out his glow wand and became the scary yellow wand monster. Eeeek!

Jeff then ended the session. Thank you Jeff for letting me sell at your town.

I put most of my bells in my bank account but I used the rest to pay off my lighthouse. It will be ready tomorrow and I can start the Fortune Teller's shop.

Thank you for reading and have a good weekend!
