New Leaf: Festivale 2018

On Friday, there were notices on the board about a variety of different events happening in February. There's so much happening!

I came across a toaster and another box corner sofa in the Nookling store for my kitchen. I bought them both!

Jeremiah returned and tried to sing his way into my house. Its not happening dude!

Here is what the kitchen is looking like now. The fridge and flower table tie it all together very well. The pancakes are especially fitting!

I played again today for Festivale!

I realised that I never bought the outfit. You can find everything you need on the day at Able Sisters.

Now I look like the back of Nyan Cat!

I don't remember bothering with this event last year, so I wanted to give it another try. I met Pave and she gave me the rundown on how the event works!

She wanted me to bring her three green feathers. So I got to work and started talking to my villagers.

An army of Pietros exploded?

Rosie told me that she spent 364 days practicing for this event. I wonder if this text would change on a leap year and add an extra day?

I caught myself a blue feather! I look like I was blinded by its feathery goodness!

Jeremiah gave me a purple feather for winning a game of rock paper scissors.

I later traded him my blue feather for a yellow one. If this was Harvest Moon, I would be engaged to him.

I also played rock paper scissors with Rolf. We both picked Rock four times in a row before I finally won a pink feather.

I then played charades with Lucha. The answer was love (its always love!)

He gave me a green feather. Finally! Just what I needed.

At this point I've been playing for an hour and still needed two more green feathers. This is why I don't like Festivale that much. The candy in previous games was annoying as well but at least there were only four colours. Lets hope that the next main Animal Crossing game doesn't mess this event up.

Miitopia:TVii Mii

Chack had a go at Love Song for the first time. Everyone loved it!

Jeff also eached level 8 in that same battle. Neat!

I stumbled upon the Roaming Gourmet, Leo (from something... I don't know).

He gave me free cheesecake, so that's all that matters!

Beth and I reached Level 8 friendship and unlocked Charity, where we share sweets and bananas with each other.

Sharing is Caring!

 I got myself a polka dot robe from a chest and made it purple (of course).

Beth and I also reached Level 8! Now everyone is the same level for now.

It was time for the old fashioned piano music and the freedom to choose our ruler, their daughter and her two lovers.

I didn't know who to make all these different characters so I kept choosing the random button. whoever made that TV Mii, how???

After clicking random a few times, I was happy and continued my quest!

I entered the castle to find Beethoven and Mr Bean?

I went through the double doors and found out that the king was... King Ice King!

That would also be my reaction to saying his name out loud.

Ice King's face was taken away to the forest in the east.

His supporters were Waluigi and a Rabbid. This is the closest we will get to having Waluigi in Kingdom Battle.

Miitopia: Where we left off

Its been a while since I've played this game and I'm finally playing the full thing instead of the demo. If you still need to catch up on the main story, you can check it out here.

I decided to go from where I left off and transfer my demo data into the full game. This meant that my party was all at level 7 and had all their friendships and stuff on them.

Even after abandoning them for half a year, they still wanted some stuff. So I let Chack and Beth upgrade their weapons!

This is the party. I'm a Mage, Beth is a Cleric, Jeff is a warrior and Chack is a (male) popstar.

My request to go to the castle fell flat the last time I asked Beethoven, but this time (still in his bass of operation after all these months) he let me in. I'm so happy I could sing!

I did sing, but it was mainly my belly doing it...

I got back into the swing of things and started finding treasures and food.

At the next inn, Jeff told Chack that he wanted a new look.

Da da da daaaaa! He looks like Link now!

I used some of those Game Tickets I got earlier to win some prizes. I got luxury tickets to Jolly Jaunt, so I sent Beth and myself on a holiday.

This got them to level 7 friendship and unlocked them the ability to use Get Well Soon. They will visit each other if either one of them are in a safe spot, speeding up the recovery.

I also got some EXP which I gave to Chack and got him to Level 8. He learnt the move Love Song, where he sings a song to the rest of the party and makes him popular briefly.

I pulled a lever to unlock another way around the courtyard!

Me too Jeff... me too.

Back at the inns, Jeff and Chack's friendship leveled up and they can now perform Show Off. Now they can sometimes deal extra damage in order to impress each other!

February blog schedule and other things!

Hello everyone! The last few months have been all over the place but my life is no longer bonkers and I can finally get back into the swing of things.

At first I considered changing the blog schedule but I decided to keep it Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. If you follow me on Twitter, you may know that I might not be able to post tomorrow because of 3DS downloading speeds and stuff. Which leads me to my next point.

The game I’m downloading is Miitopia (finally!). If/when it actually downloads I will be making that my Sunday game (and maybe some Wednesdays too, it is an RPG after all and they can be quite long). I did play the demo June 2017 and was wondering, should I start from the beginning or go from where the demo left off? I will probably have a Twitter poll to answer that question.

New Leaf: Plagiarizing Wendell?

Turns out that my newest villager wasn't a goat. She was a cow.

She wasn't as bad as I thought and at least she told me why she was blue.

Is Iggly okay in the background?

I saw that there was a new villager in the campsite, I flipped out!

It was Flip, the fire elemental monkey!

One thing that I love about my house is Wendell's painting, but I hate that I couldn't put it on the wall.

So I took matters into my own hands and made my own version

(Note: Copying other people's art is wrong in real life, but Wendell doesn't know better)

It looks a little more cartooney than I wanted but it still looks nice.
