What could we expect from Nintendo in 2018?

Its a new year which means that Nintendo have different things up their sleeves, whether its games we already know about or surprises. Today I'm going to look through what Nintendo have planned and what they could be planning.

Nintendo 3DS
Personally I think the 3DS is on its last full year since the 3DS family has been going since 2011 (In March it would be 7 years old, I feel so old right now). Nintendo could either end the 3DS era with a bang or just by making less and less content for it (which they did do last year). I can see them adding one more "major" game or a few remakes.

Nintendo Switch
I think the Switch will be Nintendo's focus, especially since we are approaching its one year life span. We already have games coming out for it like Metriod Prime 4, a Yoshi game, a Kirby game and they even mentioned a new core Pokemon game that could come out as early as this year. The Switch already has or will have some of their biggest IPs like Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Metroid and more only after one year. They are missing a few that will fill the void for this and next year. Maybe we will get some more announcements like Animal Crossing.

Mobile
Nintendo's last two apps that they mentioned were for Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. Since we now have both of them what do you think we will get next? They already did something with them two franchises plus Mario and Miitomo. We'll have to wait and see.

My Nintendo
For the last year I thought that this would suck. But now it still does except in Japan when they finally started releasing physical rewards. Okay its only phone cases at the moment but they are one step closer to adding the things they had on Club Nintendo. This also means that other countries will hopefully start seeing rewards like this (I can only spend so many coins on in game currency)

So there you have it. I think this could be a good year for Nintendo if they do it correctly. Thank you for reading and have a good day!
