New Leaf: Days of greetings!

On Saturday, Kidd mentioned how the town is cleaner, yet he was only here two days (three if you count the camping trip).

The zen bench is done! It looks really pretty in this spot.

I saw something in the distance and thought it was a villager's head. It was a balloon...

Naomi and Lucha were dancing. I don't think that's safe to do on a bridge.

Kidd already wanted a new greeting and well... I had a baaaaa-lank

Late that evening, Jeremiah wanted to change his catchphrase "bleck". Since Bowser's Inside Story is getting a remake (and Fawful is my favorite character), I made him say this...

I decided to start doing the unthinkable, I got rid of my perfect orange orchard. I haven't usedd it in months and want to make my town look prettier so the trees must go!

I noticed that the Reset Centre was open so I hopped in and farted in Resetti's toilet.

Toot toot!

Yesterday was Mother's Day so I got my usual carnations in the mail.

You know its spring when there are honeybees buzzing around.

Rosie asked for a greeting that was "sparkly" and "fresh". At least I got one of those things correct!

We finally had the ceremony for the zen bench. Hooray for tablecloths!

I decided to start putting face cutout boards around town. The first one was set up and paid off today!

While I was at it, I got rid of the zen garden in the northeast part of town. I want to make that where all my future villagers go.

Its weird thinking that since Miiverse is gone, this is the only way of geting a good image of the map (besides capture cards).

I might have the two right next to each other, then put some flowers in between.

And this evening was the meteor shower, so I made a wish on my wooden bridge.

Jeremiah pinged me to ask about my taste in... taste.

I put the slider a little closer to spicy (because KFC's hotwings) but Jeremiah took it the wrong way.

Stitches wanted to play hide and seek. We were also joined by Naomi and Jeremiah.

Midway through the game, I saw Rosie sitting on the zen bench.

She asked me to join her, so I did!

I finished the game and got a gyroid of some kind as a reward.

I did! Its called nursery...

I've been playing everyday lately because I'm on the hunt for holly shoots to line my paths. It will take a while but I already have three.

And Iggly tried to leave Cosmic. Oh no you don't!

Thank you for reading and have an awesome week!

Squishy's thoughts on the March 2018 Nintendo Direct

So Nintendo's Direct has come and gone, with only eye memes remaining (we'll get on that later). So here are my thoughts on what was shown.

First of all I was so off in my predictions. The one time I try to be realistic and up to date on current announcements, Nintendo throws it all out the window and gives us one of the better directs. Since there's so much stuff I'll have to lay this out a little differently. So here goes...

Nintendo 3DS

Warioware Gold
Oh my goodness! I've been calling this for years and it finally happened. I really enjoy the Warioware series and look forward to it releasing on July 27th.

Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story remake
This is one of my favourite RPGs of all time (besides Earthbound) so I welcome this. I'm so excited to hear this game's awesome soundtrack remastered (especially that final boss theme). The only bad thing is that they skipped Partners in Time. I know that was the weakest game in the Mario and Luigi series, but this could have been an opportunity to improve it (especially for America who basically got "Hard Mode"). It will be coming in 2019.

Luigi's Mansion remake
I remember wanting a Super Mario Sunshine remake for 3DS, but this is even better! I've wanted to try this game for ages but Gamecube games are really expensive right now (saw the original Animal Crossing for nearly £300, its that crazy). I'm excited to play this later in the year. It would be awesome if it came out near Halloween (maybe even with that figure they had on Club Nintendo?)

Nintendo Switch

The Third Party Stuff
All these third party games that are coming is just awesome. Usually I only play Nintendo for the first party stuff, but all this stuff is really tempting. We are getting titles like;

  • Okami HD (Summer 2018)
  • Undertale (Eventually...)
  • Crash Bandicoot Triligy (July 10th)
  • South Park Fractured But Whole (April 24th)
Mario Tennis Aces
It looks like a good game and I know that Nintendo warned told us that it would be on the Direct, but all that stuff about the tennis techniques dragged on for so long. It made a good bathroom break though. I'm glad that they are finally using more unique characters though (Chain Chomp was a nice, random touch that was a lot better than Pink Gold Peach). It will be coming out on June 22nd.

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Switch/3DS
I'm so glad that I didn't buy the Wii U version like I planned to, especially with the additional Super Mario Odyssey levels that they added. Plus the multiplayer is a nice touch! I look forward to that on July 13th

SUPER SMASH BROS SWITCH
While watching that teaser trailer, my first thought were "why are they porting the original Splatoon after announcing so much for the sequel?" Then BAM! Inkling girl had that symbol in her eye and I started screaming and crying like a kid. I am so excited and its coming out THIS YEAR! Yaaay!

So there you have it. I thought this was a really cool Direct overall. I feel like there won't be much to offer at E3 now though. Maybe they'll have Smash playable by then, but that's a stretch. Either way, thank you for reading and Miitopia will return next Sunday!

New Leaf: In and Out

Yesterday Isabelle told me that Rolf was in boxes. Oh no!

I was planning to get rid of him eventually, but not now. Goodbye big cat!

The palm tree I planted on my picnic has grown big enough to make a stomp that players can sit on. Now I can actually sit and have a picnic on the beach!

Flurry asked for some furniture so I gave her my candy jar. She gave me a rocket as a reward!

I found Kidd's house plot and it was on a flower bed I made!

I thought that I only needed to remove one more pattern for that to work. I guess not...

I also continued to decorate the paths near ReTail. I wanted to make both sides symmetrical. It will look perfect when that tree grows and when I get some more holly bushes.

I did the same for the other side, near the campsite area entrance.

Today I got a letter from Jeremiah with a woman pole inside. When you press A on it, it sounds like its saying "suck it".

I welcomed Kidd into my town with (almost) open arms. He could have been a long time resident if it hadn't been for his house placement.

While decorating some more, I heard a pitfall sound. It was Iggly!

Both Stitches and Lucha tried to sell me something. I declined them both.

Lucha then asked me what type of flowers he would like. It was one of those slider questions and it was between red or yellow. I went slightly closer to yellow and he started talking about orange food.

I got a new PWP request from Iggly. A blue bench!

I remember that looking quite industrial, so I'll pass

I did build and pay off a zen bench for over by the pond. It will be ready tomorrow!

Thank you for reading and have a good weekend!

Squishy's March 2018 Direct Prediction

Nintendo have announced the first Nintendo Direct of 2018 (besides a Mini I think). It will be tomorrow at 10pm for the UK and the following times for other major places.

It will be half an hour long and we will see something related to Mario Tennis Aces. But besides that, here's what I think could show up.

The Direct will probably be the only one before E3 (besides maybe game specific ones or a mini). This means that we probably won't see anything huge (like a new main Animal Crossing game sadly, I'll get that out of the way now). I think we can also say that a Smash port or a new game will probably be announced at E3 as well.

I'm positive that they will show something Bayonetta related. I also think that they will show off some of that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 update that's coming out. Maybe even some of the Hyrule Warriors Switch port. I thinks that's the biggest they will go but it is half an hour long after all, so we never know.

This will be a stretch but now would be the perfect time to release virtual console for the Switch, especially with the My Nintendo Gold points update that just came out. NES games would be practically free!

As for 3DS, since its kinda on its last legs (I guess), I feel like we will get one more big-ish game then maybe some 3rd party titles. So those were my thoughts, what do you think will be shown at the Direct? Feel free to leave any thoughts in the comments. Thank you for reading and I'll give my opinion on the Direct on Sunday!

New Leaf: Rock-Rock-Rock

Tonight in town, Rosie asked me to deliver something to Lucha. I don't want to correct grammar too often, but you forgot a capital letter.

So I delivered a vertigo tee to Lucha and he gave me a candy jar as a reward. That's a pretty sweet deal!

I spoke with Rolf next and this is the only text box he gave me to work with. Uhhh, what?

The first tent of 2018 had Kidd the goat inside! He's actually one of the few goats I actually like, so I tried winning him into my town with a minigame.

Sadly, it was luck based and we kept picking the same thing. Your kidding right?

After playing rock-paper-scissors (or rock-rock-rock because of our orb hands), I won him over and he will be moving to Cosmic in a few days!

Iggly pinged me to talk about famous sweaty towels. Do people still do this?

Well he tried to give me a sweaty common floor. I don't want your sweaty wood Iggly!

Then Flurry pinged me to hand over the remains of a cow... I guess this will be the item that floats around town for a while.

What taste? All the beef is gone!

Well it wasn't long until Iggly wanted it for 255 bells. Sure!

I ended the day by doing some more decorating. I put some more green designs down to better control where Kidd lands, added some overflowing pansies to the western beach and made a little picnic spot!

Thank you for reading and have a good week!

Miitopia: Wand Swap!

While in the forest in search for Calming Fruit, Chack was confident that he was doing a lot for the team. But Beth thought otherwise...

I think he's doing well!

Beth and I stopped to gossip about the men (and Demons) we met on our travels!

I chose to take a hidden path and got the team lost. Great...

(Insert "Geno's Maze" from Super Mario RPG here)

At the inn, I bought a present for Beth, which turned out to be a violin!

Now Jeff is jealous of me. Hopefully this doesn't end up being another argument.

<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script> <script> (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({ google_ad_client: "ca-pub-8767759518336448", enable_page_level_ads: true }); </script>

I also let myself get a star wand. Now I feel like Rosalina!

I'm a princess, hear my ROAR!

It didn't last long though since I found a night wand in a chest.

I sent Beth out to buy some new clothes since she is long overdue something better. But alas, she came back with food again...

Jeff on the other hand, came back with some adventure armour!

Adventure is out there!

Thank you for reading and have a good day.

New Leaf: Named after a pastry?

It was raining in town yesterday. Anything is better than the snow that's recently hit the UK.

The trees that I planted the other day are all growing big and strong. Now town finally lookess like a desert!

Jeremiah came up with a new nickname for me, while eating a food I've never heard of.

After doing some googling, I discovered that it was a Greek pastry

So I was nicknamed after a Deluxe Greek pastry? Your a weird one, Jeremiah.

I ended the day by doing some more exterior decorating!

Thank you for reading and if you haven't yet, feel free to check out my recent video of my Stardew Valley character getting run over by a train. You can find it here

Standing in front of Stardew Valley's train

The other day I was just casually playing Stardew Valley on a personal file. While collecting some wood near the train tracks, the train showed up at the right time. So I used this as an opportunity to experiment...
