Squishy: Winter blog schedule and announcements

Winter approaches and so does the holiday season (along with exam season, yuck). Due to real life stuff I will be busy throughout the months of December and January so I decided to edit the schedule a little bit.

For December I want to make it "The Countdown to Squishmas". Starting December 13th to the 25th I will be posting something Christmasy everyday alongside the usual Animal Crossing New Leaf posts on Mondays and Fridays. This means that everything else will be on hold which includes;
  • Stardew Valley (after December 10th it will be ending)
  • Thoughts posts (unless there's a surprise Direct or something)
  • Anything else non Christmasy
After the 25th I will be taking a break until the 1st January when I will post about New Years Eve and New Years Day.

As for January, Something school related will be taking up my time and I will need to put that first for a while (I'll be going into school on Saturdays/Sundays and staying after school more). This is what the schedule will look like in January;

Monday - Animal Crossing New Leaf
Tuesday -
Wednesday - Anything else (if I can)
Thursday -
Friday - Animal Crossing New Leaf
Saturday -
Sunday -

Again if something like a Nintendo Direct or something major is announced then I will post then too.

There will be days in January where I can't post no matter what. I can't post from Wednesday 24th to Saturday 27th January due to a four day long school related event. After all this passes I will be rereviewing the schedule and bringing things back.

Than you for your understanding and enjoy Squishmas.

Squishy: Path blocked

Thursday was the Harvest Festival in New Leaf or Thanksgiving in America.

Franklin the turkey was here to cook for us all but he needed ingredients.

I just left the town hungry. I'm not a huge fan of item fetching events.

While working on my paths I saw a gold slingshot float by.

So I got out my other gold slingshot (from my first Cosmic) and shot it down. Now I have two! If anyone wants it I'll keep it for them until my internet calms down. First come, first serve!

I continued with my paths throughout Thursday and Friday but I didn't get them done.

I should have though because Baabara blocked the way.

Your lucky I don't like many sheep villagers...

Stitches started using peanut brittle shampoo. I personally can't stand the smell of peanuts so I left the conversation quickly.

Flurry wanted some furniture for her room so I gave her my fish on a board. So long fishy.

I got a blue clock as a reward. Not really worth it but at least my fish is in a good home.

Thank you for reading and have a good week!

Squishy: Stardew Valley: Fall is here!

On Fall 1st, My Copper Axe is finally done! Now I can break wood faster.

Sadly bigger logs are still too strong.

Because I chose the Joja route the community centre has turned into a warehouse, just like the Mayor said.

One thing I noticed is that Evelyn makes themed cookies depending on the season. This time they are little pumpkins. Cute!

Old people in farming simulators are adorable

I found a lost book on the beach while collecting shells to sell.

I got a letter from Lewis about the Stardew Valley Fair. It must really be a big deal if I'm being told a week in advance.

I found my first frozen geode while farm clearing...

...and it sucked

I reached Level 5 in forging. I close to become a gatherer since I never sell wood.

I also reached Level 2 in combat. I'm getting better at this.

My museum is coming along well. It looks so colourful!

Stardew Valley will be slowing down a little bit. I will be giving more information on Wednesday's blog entry so stay tuned.

Thank you for reading and happy (belated) fall!

Squishy: Animal Crossing Pocket Camp First Look

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp came out yesterday so I went through it like crazy on day 1 (it is free to start after all). So I went through the star of the game. So lets get started!

Pocket Camp starts with K.K under a spotlight, similar to past Animal Crossing games.

After some rambling I was brought to a character customization screen which acts similar to the one in Happy Home Designer.

Here is my character! They didn't have the correct shade of brown for my hair so I settled to purple.

After that we got into the game play. You tap or drag the screen to move around. You can also tap on objects and animals to interact with them.

Isabelle asked for my name and what I want my ideal campsite to look like.

Each ideal campus comes with different furniture and your first character in another location. I went for the cute style.

So I traveled to another location in order to befriend Rosie. I also collected some fruit. Yum!

Looks like the trees have time limits. At least they grow back longer than the ones in mainstream Animal Crossing titles.

After undressing the trees I finally spoke to Rosie.

Uhhh Rosie I saw you the other day in Cosmic

She wanted an apple. Luckily I collected them in advance so I handed it over. I got some materials and bells for my troubles.

You also get rewards for leveling up your friendship with each villager.

When I returned to my campsite, I noticed that Isabelle decorated it for me. Sweet!

I learnt how crafting items worked. You can also speed up the crafting process using leaf tickets. I don't see myself doing this too much.

After crafting and placing my lovely love seat, Isabelle realized that she forgot to give me a place to sleep. What's with Isabelle and leaving me homeless?

She did give me a tepee to sleep in. Looks a little plain but its home.

I then used my phone to invite Rosie to my campsite. She seemed to like it a lot. Now she can visit whenever she wants!

Isabelle left me with a starter pack with bells and other useful things.

New locations are now available for me to explore.

My mini celebration was cut short when I had to download more data. Ugh!

Why can't games just start with the data needed? At least there's a cute little minigame that allows me to collect bells.

I played a lot more of the game but this post is already long enough. I'm enjoying the game so far, especially for a mobile game. I will give my thoughts on this when I've played it a little more. Thank you for reading and if you want to add me in Pocket Camp, here is my code (I changed my hair colour back to a shade of brown)

Squishy: Fishing Tourney and redecorating

Saturday was the Fishing Tourney and I actually played!

I started at 5pm though so I only had an hour to make it count.

My little breeding area is doing well. I don't even know what to do with most of these flowers.

This month's tourney is black bass themed so I headed to the river and got to work.

Sadly it wasn't nearly enough to beat Flurry's score.

I decided to take a break and redecorate my house. I want my house to be themed around a normal house. Its got a long way to go but my main room will be the dining room

All my junk that I don't have storage for (yes its all full) is being kept in my left room. his will soon be a kitchen.

My basement will be a kid's bedroom/playroom. The Puzzle League stuff... I'm not sure about yet.

I went out and continued fishing. Looks like Flurry was out-fished by Filbert. Wow that's nuts!

So First was Filbert, second was Flurry and third was Daisy. Yay!!!

Yesterday I was in the mood for a new path so I got to work on redesigning one. I wanted this one to be with my mayor character so that I could correct accidents, but I also didn't want it to be in ten pieces.

So I made this. It will have 5 design tiles altogether and those green patches inbetween those stone lines will have some pixelated flowers in them.

Removing the path and replacing it will take too long so I deleted Joy (another human character I had) so that the paths delete too. I'm going to spend the next few days adding the path in again.

I also wanted to get rid of my flower heart. Its too girly for the rest of my town.

I just ran through the red roses and will keep the pink ones.

This is starting to look really nice.

I don't know if I'll use the flower parts. Maybe I'll remake them at a later date.

Thank you for reading and have a good week!
