Animal Crossing Pocket Camp came out yesterday so I went through it like crazy on day 1 (it is free to start after all). So I went through the star of the game. So lets get started!
Pocket Camp starts with K.K under a spotlight, similar to past Animal Crossing games.
After some rambling I was brought to a character customization screen which acts similar to the one in Happy Home Designer.
Here is my character! They didn't have the correct shade of brown for my hair so I settled to purple.
After that we got into the game play. You tap or drag the screen to move around. You can also tap on objects and animals to interact with them.
Isabelle asked for my name and what I want my ideal campsite to look like.
Each ideal campus comes with different furniture and your first character in another location. I went for the cute style.
So I traveled to another location in order to befriend Rosie. I also collected some fruit. Yum!
Looks like the trees have time limits. At least they grow back longer than the ones in mainstream Animal Crossing titles.
After undressing the trees I finally spoke to Rosie.
Uhhh Rosie I saw you the other day in Cosmic
She wanted an apple. Luckily I collected them in advance so I handed it over. I got some materials and bells for my troubles.
You also get rewards for leveling up your friendship with each villager.
When I returned to my campsite, I noticed that Isabelle decorated it for me. Sweet!
I learnt how crafting items worked. You can also speed up the crafting process using leaf tickets. I don't see myself doing this too much.
After crafting and placing my lovely love seat, Isabelle realized that she forgot to give me a place to sleep. What's with Isabelle and leaving me homeless?
She did give me a tepee to sleep in. Looks a little plain but its home.
I then used my phone to invite Rosie to my campsite. She seemed to like it a lot. Now she can visit whenever she wants!
Isabelle left me with a starter pack with bells and other useful things.
New locations are now available for me to explore.
My mini celebration was cut short when I had to download more data. Ugh!
Why can't games just start with the data needed? At least there's a cute little minigame that allows me to collect bells.
I played a lot more of the game but this post is already long enough. I'm enjoying the game so far, especially for a mobile game. I will give my thoughts on this when I've played it a little more. Thank you for reading and if you want to add me in Pocket Camp, here is my code (I changed my hair colour back to a shade of brown)
