As I'm sure you all know, I'm a big Breath of the Wild fan and I play almost daily. One of the best things for me is definitely the expansive world, and the fact it includes many different places to explore.
When I started playing, my initial goal was to find all of the towers and complete the map of Hyrule. As it happened, I ended up avoiding using horses for this. Why? Because if you're not using paths, horses are practically impossible to ride. They can't ride over as much as a stone, and you have to be on a completely smooth, flat area to ride effectively.
I wanted to climb over mountains and climb towers. A horse was no use.
But I soon hit another snag - I hate fast-traveling. There are two main reasons for this.
1. I'm missing everything on the way! If I walk, I can explore shrines, memories and much more. Fast-travel means I skip all of that.
2. Is it just me...or does it feel slightly like cheating?
I'm not saying I never use fast-travel. I do. But when I can, I try and skip it. For a long time, I used my feet (or Link's feet) to get everywhere. I climbed most of the map, and it's only now that I'm starting to see the positive side of using a horse.
At the moment in the game, I'm building Tarrey Town. That means collecting infinite bundles of wood and traveling from the far east of the map to Goron City, Gerudo Town and Rito Village.
I haven't used fast-travel at all, but I have been using horses. Why?
It's simply faster and easier. It's faster to use paths as I'm heading to specific towns that all have pretty-direct paths to. It's easier because I don't have to keep climbing over mountains and swimming across lakes.
And another bonus? On a fast horse, galloping, it's pretty hard for monsters to catch me. I've trotted through Bokoblin camps, trampled over Lizalfos' and dodged Guardians.
Yet even on a horse, I've already come across another memory and a few shrines!
What do you think? Do you use fast-travel or still love seeing the world, like me?

Squishy: Doesn't like sweets?
Last Saturday was the Fishing Tourney which I didn't enter.
Gracie Grace started selling card furniture. I like it but I don't have nearly enough money to buy some.
After months of giving up on getting Peach's parasol I randly bought a fortune cookie and got one. Just in time for summer!
Soooooo pretty!
This evening in town I saw the results for the Fishing Tourney. So the runner ups eat fish and the winner... is a fish? Did Camofrog just hand himself in?
Jeremiah was telling me how Flurry doesn't like sweet things. She more or less named after a milkshake!
Camofrog said that it would be more interesting if I invited people over.
Cosmic (the town not the blog) turns a year old tomorrow so I might do something special to celebrate.
I saw a wedding cake at Gracie's and I really wanted it so I spent the rest of the evening making quick money to buy it.
While collecting fruit I saw a sleepy and angry Gulliver
The funny part is that one of the options was Yoshi's Island
Rosie tried giving me the nickname "Sugar S". The thought was sweet but it was kind of weird.
I decided to go with Swishy. I don't know why, it just looked cool in my head.
So I bought the cake and ended my session. I might do something to celebrate Cosmic's birthday. I'll keep you updated. Thank you for reading!
Also I will be posting every Saturday and Beth will be on Sundays so we will no longer be alternating.

Beth: Beatufiul Bugs
Hi guys, and welcome back to the stories of Acorn!
Even when we were inside, she kept asking for dinner! She also asked me to take her to another room (twice) when she hadn't even crossed onto the carpet?
Julian asked to move out, but I refused. He's one of my favourite villagers in Acorn at the moment.
I talked to everyone I bumped into, which happened to include Chevre. She asked me to catch her a spider, and I did try :P Unfortunately, I couldn't find one.
I came across a time capsule, which turned out to be Rudy's. Inside the time capsule, Rudy found a letter and a lively knit shirt. She then rewarded me with....a lively knit shirt, seemingly without realising it's the same thing she just received.
I checked the notice board, only to realise I've missed all of the winter fishing tourneys. Oops.
I re-coloured one of my Halloween dresses to a summery theme once again! You can find a similar version (the colours may not be exactly the same) on Jeff's QR code page.
I had a bit of money from selling fossils and other random items, and with it I managed to pay off my home loan!
I headed straight to Tom Nook and asked him to expand my back room. I'll be able to fit more bookshelves in there then ;)
Thanks for reading! I'll see you Tuesday.

Beth: Breath of the Wild #7
Warning: My BOTW posts may include spoilers. I will warn readers
again for big spoilers that are part of the main story, but proceed with
caution!
I spent a few days deliberating whether to travel to the desert or volcano Divine Beast. Yesterday, I finally decided on the volcano Divine Beast - Vah Rudania! If you want to avoid spoilers for this beast, I would skip this post.
I started by going to the head of Goron City. He told me where I needed to go to complete the next part of the task.
On the way to the beast, I had to rescue a Goron who helped me on my way!
The head of Goron City gave me a fireproof elixir as a thank you.
While I was in Goron City, I recalled another memory.
I then headed back up the volcano to beat this thing!
On my way, I encountered a lot of these evil floating things. I had a Goron with me to help attack the Divine Beast as we found canons on our way, but it was also hard to keep dodging and destroying these!
I finally found my way up to the Beast, and started my own journey to beat it.
Once inside, it's pitch black. You actually have to travel through a few rooms to find the map terminal, but it's not too hard!
I activated the map, and found out about this Beast's special feature. You can rotate this one 90 degrees.
A few parts of the Divine Beast then opened, to allow light inside!
The first terminal involved shooting a light through a keyhole with the nearby blue flame. I then had to block the flames behind with a magnesis block, rotate the Beast to create a gap and finally get to the terminal!
The second terminal meant shooting a fire arrow (or a normal arrow might do, in this heat), to break the wood across these doors. The terminal is pretty easy to get to from there!
The third terminal meant rotating the Beast while in the main room and gliding to the terminal at just the right moment.
The last terminal was a little tricky - as it also involved timing things just right. I climbed to the top of the Beast after rotating it, and then jumped on top while rotating it back.
I then unleashed Fireblight Ganon! Maybe I'm getting better at this, but I actually found this one quite easy. I had enough arrows to shoot fire arrows a number of times, followed by a few hits. I only had to eat a few spicy peppers and without a shield, I think I did okay!
I received another heart container, which brings me up to 9.
After taking over this Divine Beast, we now have another laser pointing at the castle! One to go!
I also received Daruk's Protection. When you're holding this protective shield, no attacks can hurt you!
Thanks for reading. I'll be back soon with more stories from New Leaf.

Squishy: Storage Sorted!
Yesterday while walking around town I noticed a small gap in between the two cliff that looked like my character could walk on. That would be a cool feature!
Yesterday Pietro was asking me about my birthday wish.
I think its going well. I have some awesome friends and I enjoy my hobbies.
Since there wasn't much going on today I decided to finish off organising my storage. Here is where I put everything;
Secret Storage
Spade - Anything clothing related
Heart - Anything plant, flower and fruit related (except perfect oranges)
Club - Furniture, Wallpaper and Flooring
Diamond - Other random stuff
Wardrobe Space
Slot A - Tools in page one. The rest is extra space for turnips and items for ReTail
Slot B - Gems (start in page 6 and work their way back) and spare storage
Slot C - Perfect oranges (start on page 6 and work their way back) and spare storage
Hopefully this doesn't get too disorganised quickly. Thank you for reading and have a good day.

Beth: Butterflies For Dinner
Hi guys! I've managed to play both Breath of the Wild and New Leaf today, but we're going to be talking about my New Leaf adventures!
Sheldon was missing hanging out with egg, and me. Maybe I'll cook him dinner so we can all hang out.
I went to the museum to have the few fossils I found examined, and while I was there I updated my dream town. It might be a little rainy in your dreams, but oh well :P In a way, I think my forest-like town suits the rain!
I also popped into the Happy Home Showcase, where I had a few people to catch up with!
I must have not checked this for a while, because I found Amy in the top corner! Hi Amy :)
I went to the cafe, and Julian told me he liked Brewster's coffee so much, he cried a the taste. That was enough to make me sit down for a cup :P
I chose Blue Mountain beans, but Brewster got mad at me when I tried to let it cool. Apparently, neither me or Julian are refined!
Thanks for reading, I'll be back soon with another post.

Squishy: The trash bin saga begins!
Yesterday Jeremiah gave me a trash bin. Thanks...
I went to the island for a brief visit and Kapp'n gave me some sweet advice. I should follow it more often.
Rosie found out that I own a trash bin so I gave it to her. This is the start of an epic adventure starring Squishy and a reappearing trash bin!
I randomly turned my back room into a study. I don't know why, I just felt like it.
Today I got a notice about the Fishing Tourney. I've done it before so I might not bother.
Today marks sale season at Gracie's so get some cheap items while you can.
And Pietro said that he was moving on the 24th of this month.
Villagers have been pestering me to move out for weeks. I had to close my 3DS to think about if I wanted to get rid of Pietro or not. I might be getting rid of the Earthbound area so getting rid of Pietro might be a good start. I like him but he's nightmare fuel for some people.
Thank you for reading and have a good week!
