June Blog schedule and updates!

Its nearing that time of year again, where my calendar doesn't give me a break... June is an important time for the blog with a lot of events and stuff, So I decided to change the schedule up a bit just for this month. I will still be posting four days a week, but the schedule will be as follows;

Monday - Animal Crossing New Leaf
Tuesday -
Wednesday - Miitopia
Thursday -
Friday - Other stuff
Saturday -
Sunday - Miitopia

I decided to try posting Miitopia twice a week and reduce New Leaf to once, just to see how it goes. Animal Crossing is getting kind of slow lately and people seem to be enjoying Miitopia! If it doesn't work, I'll more than likely set the schedule back to normal on the 25th June.

I mentioned earlier that June is an important month. That's because there's E3 (which I will be covering the Nintendo aspects like usual). Expect some predictions and my thoughts after.

There's Q Con, which is a local gaming convention that has a special place in my heart. I will be cosplaying there as Fawful from the Mario and Luigi series (not sure which days yet, the weather has been really warm lately). Since I will be there, I won't be posting on Friday 22nd. I will give my thoughts on the event on the 24th (if I'm not too tired lol).

Then I will also have a special blog post on Tuesday 12th. Older viewers might know why, but I'll just leave it at that. Thank you for reading and I hope every enjoys what is to come!

Miitopia: Quirks and hair

I tried to go a particular route, but it was blocked off... I guess I'll have to visit it later.

I finally used Flambe (pretend the little squiggle i there) which let me do a stronger attack.

Death and I also used a quirk for the first time (at least for me, it wad the first time in ages).

After a long fight, we managed to get a game over. This is the first one where I had a full party (we don't talk about my solo chef failure)

Amaris also used her first quirk on our second attempt at that battle. Again I don't match the quirk with the actual person, just the Mii and Role.

After that, we all gained a Level. Amaris reached Level 4 while the rest of us made it to 5.

I just remembered that the hair on Amy's Mii is pink, so I changed that in the menu.

Death and I reached Level 2 in friendship at the Inn!

Then I ended my play session by buying Death and Amaris an outfit each. One did while the other didn't...

New Leaf: Town 2nd Anniversary

Wednesday was exactly two years since I became mayor of Cosmic!

Stitches, Patty and Tom Nook joined us for the ceremony. Happy 2nd birthday, Cosmic!

I got another sapling clock from Isabelle. Its cool that this item and ceremony exists, but I can see getting the same item every year be annoying.

Agnes wanted to play hide and seek. So I had 15 minutes to find her, Flurry and Kidd. Flurry was hiding behind Jeremiah's house.

Kidd was behind Stitches' house. Quite a sucky hiding place, even a kid could do better.

And Agnes was behind a lonely banana tree!

I got a large alpine table as a rward, so I put it in my house right away. Much better!

Earlier this evening, it was raining in Cosmic. I thought June was the rainy season, at least I don't have to water my flowers.

Iggly pinged me on one of the bridges, but the way I was angled I kept hitting him with my net. I eventually got talking to him.

People bonking you with a net?

Luckily i didn't hit him too hard, because he requested a fire pit as a PWP.

I decided to start building one right away. Before I forget, here's what the drilling rig looks like. Yeah... not that exciting.

I paid it off fully straight away. It should be finished tomorrow.

I planted a tree on either side so that I could leave a stump. I used the golden shovel along with some bells to get the saplings quicker.

I overheard a conversation with Frank and Jeremiah. Glad to know that it was only shortbread!

I've been continuing with some town design. Turns out that I'll need some more holly shoots after all...

I also put some other random bushes around town. The town is really coming together now. Thank you for reading and have a good weekend!

Squishy’s thoughts on 1-2-Switch

So the other day, my brother get 1-2-Switch for... uh the Switch! He also got the red and blue Joycons (the ones where the colours are swapped, not the OG ones). I got a chance to play a few of the games with my brother, so here are my thoughts on the game.

The way some of the mini games play are really cool, like the motion controls used in the Quick Draw minigame. But for some others such as the Eating Contest game, it’s really hit or miss. I say mini games heavily, because each one only lasts 2-3 minutes maximum. It would have been cool if there were some bigger games as well, similar to Nintendo Land.

Overall though, it is a pretty good game for what it does, even if it could do more. It would be cool at parties like the advertisements showcase. Thank you for reading and I’ll see you all next time!

New Leaf: Patty and Polo shirts

Last Tuesday, Patty's house plot showed up. It landed perfectly with the other houses!

Flurry attempted to move out on the 25th. Oh no you don't!

On Wednesday I met the new cow in town.

I recently made a dress for someone who was planning on making a Barbie themed town, so if anyone wants a dress from Barbie, The Princes and the Pauper you can scan it below!

On Friday, I caught Flurry staring into space. Is she looking at the fish or the butterfly?

I finally got enough holly shoots to finish some of my paths. It looks awesome!

Frank requested a new Public Works Project, a drilling rig!

I wanted to go check it out, but I still had to pay off the bell.

I decided to admit defeat and pay the rest off. 20,000 bells is pretty good for a few weeks!

I missed the Fishing Tourney, which was a shame since now I'm stuck with Bug Off again...

We had the ceremony for the bell! I really like it in that place.

Iggly wanted a butterfly. I accepted the request but don't plan on doing it. I'm more happy that he finally took off that Christmas jumper.

Stitches was also wearing it. Its so weird how a blue polo suits everyone in town!

I'll need to make more shirts that the villagers can wear, since most of the clothes on display are dresses. Thank you for reading and have a good week!

Miitopia: Amiibo and full party again!

I decided to dive into the Amiibo functionality a bit more before I continued my quest. I changed the Nintendo Fan to Nikki because it makes sense. Also I miss the original Nintendo etter Box. RIP

I got myself the Ness clothes. I don't know who will wear them, but it's nice to see the Ness amiibo getting some love.

I just realised that I didn't mention the next location in the last post. Well, here it is! Welland Way.

Amy reached Level 4 in battle and learnt Playful Antics.

Death also reached Level 4. Now all three of my party members are Level 4 (again).

Well not for long, because I got to add a fourth party member. Meet Amaris the (female) pop star!

I try to pick roles that match the online friends well and some of the other ones didn't really suit her, plus I wanted to use one I haven't used (so either the thief, scientist or the female pop star)

Amy and I did some training and reached friendship Level 3!

Amaris and I both wanted some really cute looking weapons, so I bought both.

This is the current rooming situation. My friendship with Death is quite low, so we will be rooming for a while. Also Amaris doesn't really know anyone so I slotted her with Amy for now.

And this is the current party. This looks more random than the last one.

Amy pretended to sleep so that she could scare me. We had a good laugh about it!

Amy finally got around to using Sharpen Claws, which involves her wasting an extra turn to make her next attack more powerful.

Amaris reached Level 3 in just one battle and learnt two new moves. Sweet!

I met with Chugga again, where he asked about the lamp.

Please don't look at my butt. I'm only wearing paper.

He explained that the only way to get him back into the lamp is to say his name. Interesting...

Well Death already forgot it. We are screwed!

I did win a ribbon mic for Amaris though. She quickly adapting to the party!
