Squishy's thoughts on the Fire Emblem direct

A little over a week ago during the Switch presentation, Nintendo announced a Fire Emblem direct. Now I am going to talk about my thoughts on what they had to offer.

First I am going to gush over the music for a second. They chose the perfect songs to use throughout the presentation. I even caught myself singing the Latin theme tune.

The first thing game related that they announced is "Fire Emblem Echos Shadows of Valentia which is basically a remake of the second Fire Emblem game in the series. It will be released on the 19th May. As someone who has only play Fates I'm so glad that older games are getting remakes. Also more Fire Emblem amiibo!

They also briefly mentioned that a new Fire Emblem game is coming in 2018. Yay!

Next they went through some footage of Fire Emblem Warriors. They mostly used the same footage from the Switch presentation but we also got a little bit of Chrom gameplay. It feels really nice not having to see Chrom look like this again.

They grow up so fast...

It will be released in Autumn 2017 and the best part is that its also coming to the 3DS.

Most of the direct was taken up by the new mobile game; Fire Emblem Heroes. It has an entirely new story and even uses popular characters from past games. To be honest I think they dragged on a little bit. It will be released on the 2nd of Febuary for Android users (lucky you!) and soon for Apple users. The best part is that its FREEE!

Thanks for reading and don't worry, Animal Crossing will be back!
